As previously announced, on Saturday morning I attended the first round of the Grand Prix of Italy Streets Oderzo held in 2010 on a 2.5 km circuit to be repeated 4 times.

My final position of 74th out of 345 participants and 12 out of 31 of my placement category, out 1'15 "from my best time obtained on ten thousand at the Marathon of winged victory. Great disappointment, therefore, my final average speed is 3'47 "/ km, ½ marathon pace! Almost two minutes slower than I hoped to confirm the fact that my form is actually worse than the evidence of San Polo di Piave 7 days ago when I could to run 15 "at km faster with less effort! Oderzo closing the file the next day I suffered the opportunity to raise morale and make my part in the sixth edition of the race between de and do Cesetti " 10km on a path that, as "short" is a difficult nervous and totally devoid of asphalt with nearly 400 meters of elevation gain, characteristics that compel the suitors to a ranking position in a race out of breath. Too late, I turn right in front of me and I see the arrival! But how? 8km? And where are the other 2? Not bad, only small forgivable flaw in an event perfect with a formidable track that only a sample as Fregona can draw. I close in 19 th place with a time of 45'24 "proof that leaves me a bit 'bad taste in mouth, but that also allows me to go to the awards ceremony, not because of me but for the generosity of the organization that awards even the first 20 men overall and the first 10 women (and prizes!) over the first 5 in each category. On the top step of the podium usually unattainable Cassi (which crosses the finish line after 38 'notice) and be followed by Vettorel Riz.
The bitterness for the lackluster performance of the weekend is thus somewhat offset by the simple pleasure of participating in events really well organized that I give way to exploit the "competitive gap" to train the best by comparing the paths first and then in front of a plate of pasta and a beer, with other brave athletes.
Next meeting: Custoza the marathon next Sunday. With the hope of recovering the best condition. Or at least do not get sick!
